The Environment and Heritage (E&H) Group are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Team Leader, Climate Research to lead a nationally recognised climate research program designed to build and strengthen the NSW Government’s response to climate change. Bring your highly developed knowledge of regional climate modelling and impact science to help build resilience across NSW. About You You will utilise your leadership experience by influencing and driving the strategic direction of science priorities, while providing expert advice on the management and reporting of scientific projects to the executive team. Use your knowledge of delivering large collaborative research programs to lead a nationally recognised climate research program with partners in multiple jurisdictions and universities. Building and maintaining professional relationships is something that you value, as you enjoy collaborating across various networks. Be at the forefront of providing science and knowledge to manage ground climate risks on the ground, whilst negotiating state and national science agendas. Help to shape the direction of E&H’s science programs in line with DPE policies and NSW Government strategies. Developing robust advice on complex issues for the NSW Government and community, and presenting this in a clear and accessible format, is a strength that you possess. Your experience in project management will assist in your ability to manage multi-million dollar budgets and assess risks related to the program, while driving continuous improvement from a high-performing team.
