Public lecture: Climate resilience and solutions for the next decade: Unravelling the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report

The AMOS Victorian Centre presents this free public lecture and panel discussion on the science and implications of the IPCC Sixth Assessment report. Featuring speaker Dr Pandora Hope (BoM) and panelists Dr Graham Phillips (University of Melbourne), Tiffany Crawford (City of Melbourne), Roger Dargaville (Monash University) and Senator Janet Rice (The Australian Greens).

 

 

 

This is a free public lecture and panel discussion presented by the AMOS Victorian Centre.

Dr Pandora Hope, Principal Research Scientist at the Bureau of Meteorology and lead author of Working Group I of AR6, will present a summary of the findings from this report. This will be followed by a panel discussion featuring:

  • Dr Graham Phillips, University of Melbourne and former host of ABC’s Catalyst program
  • Tiffany Crawford, CoDirector Climate Change & City Resilience, Chief Heat Officer, City of Melbourne
  • Dr Roger Dargaville, Deputy Director at Monash Energy Institute and President of AMOS
  • Senator Janet Rice, Senator for Victoria, Parliament of Australia
