Existing Members are able to renew online.  Please Login (top right hand corner) to renew your membership. If you have difficulties please contact the administrative officer at admin_officer@amos.org.au or call on 0404 471 143 if you would like to process your renewal over the phone.  

New Members may apply for membership online (see Membership Categories below), or by downloading the membership form and returning it to the administrative officer at AMOS, GPO Box 1289, Melbourne, Vic 3001.  

Note that any new memberships requests received between 1 October 2011 and 31 December 2011 will include membership for 2012 period.

2012 Subscription fees:

Fellow - $160.00
Only approved Fellows may renew their membership as Fellows.  Available to an existing member who has approved professional qualifications in meteorology, oceanography or related subjects. The requisite level of qualifications shall be determined by Council and must be approved by a general meeting. To apply for Fellow membership, download the nomination form, complete and return the form to the administrative officer. Only approved Fellows may renew their membership as Fellows.

Professional Member - $135.00
A member who has been employed in meteorology or oceanography or an allied field for at least five years, has tertiary level qualifications in meteorology, oceanography or an allied field (e.g. applied maths/physics), and is currently employed (at least 80% of full-time) in meteorology, oceanography or an allied field.

Member - $90.00
Available to any individual.

*Student Member - $45.00
Available to any student enrolled at least half-time in an accredited educational institution.
*Honours or PhD students are eligible for 1st Year Complimentary Student Membership.  

Retired Fellow - $80.00
Available to any Fellow of the Society who has retired from full-time employment.

Retired Professional Member - $67.50 
Available to any professional member who has retired from full-time employment.

Retired Member - $45.00
Available to any member who has retired from full-time employment.

Corporate Member - $160.00
Available to any corporation, school, library or other organization. Each corporate member shall nominate one person who, after being approved by Council, shall act on behalf of the corporate member in all dealings with the Society.
