The Society keeps members informed on current news, activities and science via three main publications:
- The Journal of Southern Hemisphere Earth Systems Science (JSHESS) publishes original research in meteorology, climate, oceanography, hydrology, space weather and related sciences, with particular focus on the Southern Hemisphere. It is published quarterly in partnership with the Bureau of Meteorology.
- The Bulletin of the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (BAMOS) is a quarterly publication that focuses on news and current events in the AMOS community. Content includes conference/meeting reports, updates from the AMOS Regional Centres, original research articles, science updates and regular columns on topics such as historical weather events and research methods.
- The AMOS eNewsletter is emailed to members on a regular basis with updates on events happening in the community, details of upcoming awards and conferences, job advertisements and other relevant news items.
