Brisbane Centre

The AMOS Brisbane Centre conducts activities in support of AMOS's aims in Queensland, and particulary, the Brisbane region. We also welcome members from the Northern Rivers district of NSW. We hold quarterly meetings which usually include a scientific presentation. Our members draw from universities, the Bureau of Meteorology, and specialists from the private sector as well as interested individuals.

The Brisbane Centre administers the AMOS Queensland student Award for an outstanding post-graduate thesis. For more information on this award see the AMOS Queensland Student Award.

Membership of AMOS is open to anyone with a genuine interest in meteorology, oceanography or related sciences. Further information is provided in About AMOS, where you will also find an application form to join AMOS. Honours and post-Graduate students may apply for their first year's membership as complementary. The secretary of the Brisbane Centre will be pleased to answer any enquiries. Non-members considering joining AMOS are welcome to attend the Brisbane Centre's activities.

If you would like to be notified by email of our activities, please contact the Centre's secretary.
