Sydney Centre

The AMOS Sydney Centre meets regularly for a series of bimonthly seminars by invited speakers and on the alternate months there is an informal meeting to discuss interesting weather events and weather-related topics with the WeatherWatch group.  A group based in Newcastle also organises occasional seminars and other activites.

Assoc. Prof. Sharon Robinson – University of Wollongong
“The impact of climate change on the polar ecosystem”

Assoc. Prof. Ian Goodwin – Macquarie University
“Climate Change and its impact on the Antarctic Ice Sheet and Oceans”

There will be a short break between the two presentations, during which light refreshments (including wine, tea and coffee) will be served.

There will also be a small display of photographic images from Antarctica.
