New AMOS website launched.

On Friday 25 January the new website of the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society's went online.

In late 2007 AMOS sought to redevelop its website to introduce a Content Management System and integrate its member database of approximately 500 members.

The successful tender was by Internet Vision Technologies [IVT], which develops innovative internet software, and provides personalised support with eBusiness consulting and project management expertise.

IVT has developed a website application specifically designed to address the operational requirements of AMOS.

Highlights of the new website include:
* Fresh new website design and feel.
* Content management of the website
* Ability to detail the Society’s range of activities and services, with unlimited categories and pages
* Ability to list job opportunities
* Ability to create a Members area of the website, secured by password
* Online Member Management with eCommerce payment of membership dues
* Integrated self-managed member directory
* Extensive analysis & reporting of website performance and usage
* Online Event Management, including member self-registration and eCommerce payment where required.
* Order management interface for efficient administration, and transfer of financial data.
