4th ACCESS Model Evaluation Workshop

April 29, 2010

Bureau of Meteorology

This is the first announcement for the next model evaluation workshop to be held at the Bureau of Meteorology on 29th April 2010. The aim of the informal workshop is as usual to bring together those of us in CAWCR and the universities who are working (or intending to work) with the ACCESS models to exchange ideas and discuss collaborative projects. The emphasis is on the model evaluation aspects of research and is intended to encompass the atmosphere, ocean, land surface and cryosphere models.

The bulk of the programme will depend on volunteers although there will be progress reports on the current status of the ACCESS models, AMIP data available and the model evaluation framework. Anyone who would like to present a short informal report is invited to send their title to l.rikus@bom.gov.au. The emphasis is on work in progress and short talks are preferred.

Please let us know if you intend to participate so that we can get a sense of the numbers of attendees.

If you want to give presentation please let us know as soon as possible. Remember it is INFORMAL so preliminary results/ideas are welcome.
