Work Artist(s) Description

Jordan Loats, Jordan Hyde and Dillon Rayson

We chose to do this bit of art because we have seen what topics we could have done. But we couldn’t decide, so we chose to do both of them. We drew lightning, rain and clouds for the atmosphere. We also did the Ocean in green and yellow, green for seaweed and yellow for sand. We drew the buildings to show what the atmosphere can do to it.

Chloe Linda, Isabella Henry and Katelyn Thomson  Me and my friends have designed a drawing of the sea and sky. We have drawn everything we think is in them, e.g.: birds, the sun, clouds and some air balloons for the sky and fish, coral, a turtle, a shark, a whale a dolphin, an octopus and some people.

This picture is about the sea and the creatures surroundings, like the fish in the cave, the clown fish in the anemone and the crabs on the ocean floor. It shows all the different colours of the ocean and the bond between each animal.

This poster shows that although you live in different places, you can still be together by compromising. If you try hard enough for what you want you can get it. You just have to believe. The beach is the only place the prince and princess can be together.

The sky in this picture makes everything look like it’s on fire. The sky takes colour from everything.

   Genevieve Somerville

My picture shows the sea blending in with the sky. There is a big storm and things being blown around.

Imogen Somerville

This is a mountain with the sun setting behind it. It is like the movie Nim’s Island .

   Nicholas Stavrou

My sea picture has sea animals being trapped by nets and other animals confront plastic bags and different rubbish thrown by people. The animals caught by the nets are caught for the wrong reasons, like the bad whale Asian catchers. The rubbish in the sea is bad for the atmosphere too. The animals can die from this including bad thrown by these big boats. All the above pollute the atmosphere hurting people and children, especially when they are swimming or breathing air.

My picture connects to the sea and the way some animals make contact with other animals but with a fantasy creature. The creature is a mermaid and she is singing her song when all of the other creatures gather to hear her beautiful song.

 The Ocean Spirit

The waves are rolling past my feet,
Slowly creeping up the shore.
The crunchy sand between my toes,
Towering dunes cast everlasting shaddows.

The cold sharp wind whipping my face;
I'm breathing the salty air.
Seaweed lifeless on the ground,
Bushes hide the world behind.

The ferocious, red cliffs stand straight in the wind,
Red rocks surround these beautiful cliffs.
Pretty shells are dotted along the sand,
These shells are whispering in my ear.

The white fluffy clouds float over the sea,
Being flown swiftly through the cold morning sky.
Building up and becoming dark,
The ocean suddenly turning grey

These features all hold the ocean spirit.

My inspiration for my poem was my trip across the Great Australian Bight . As we drove across the Great Australian Bight I saw the clouds change shape and the beautiful ocean fierce and calm. I believe my poem is connected to the atmosphere and the ocean as it gives the feeling of being there.
